Who We Are A Self-help Assistance Program - ASAP - was created in 1992, by Tom Arsenault and Elizabeth Bara, who met and married as Peace Corps volunteer teachers in rural Swaziland. Their experience left them inspired yet challenged to try to come up with a better, more efficient, less costly approach to development work; an approach that was not "inflicted" upon local people but truly spearheaded by capable members of the community. Today, our successes - thousands of individuals in Zimbabwe who have experienced profound improvements in their daily lives - speak for themselves. Working together is the key to success. At ASAP we are proud of our partnerships with Catholic Relief Services,
CARE,
Concern World Wide,
Plan International, Rotary International and the ONE Campaign. It is a privilege to be affiliated with these well-respected organizations as we work together to make poverty history. With your help, it IS possible!
ASAP Africa is an internationally recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and a U.S. 501(c) (3) organization. Please take a few moments to read ASAP Africa's most recent NEWSLETTER email: ebara@asapafrica.org |
