Regai Tsunga
Country Director
Regai holds a Masters degree in Educational Planning and Administration from Zimbabwe Open University and a Bachelor of Education (Administration, Planning and Policy Studies) degree from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a Certificate in Monitoring & Evaluation. Regai joined ASAP Africa as Assistant Program Manager in January 2005. He had been with the Public Service Commission, Zimbabwe where he supervised the implementation of Government programs and projects. Hitherto, he was a primary school headmaster and has therefore had vast experience in working with and through people to achieve results in the field of project, program and policy implementation. Regai was promoted to the ASAP Africa Program Manager in April 2005 and to Country Director in July 2007. Regai is married with two sons and a daughter.

Mary Mutsogoro (nee Dzvifu)
Finance and Administration Manager
Mary Dzvifu joined ASAP Africa in September 2001 as an Office Assistant and Bookkeeper. She was subsequently promoted to the position of Office Manager. Mary was further promoted to the post of Administration Manager in April 2005. In February 2006 she was promoted to become the Finance and Administration Manager. Mary holds a Pitman diploma in Administration and Secretarial Studies. Currently she is studying for a diploma in Personnel Management through the
Institute of Personnel Management, Zimbabwe (IPMZ) as well as for a BSc (Psychology) degree with the Zimbabwe Open University. Mary is an affiliate member of the Institute of Personnel Management of Zimbabwe. She is married with one son.

Joseph Miti
Field Operations Manager, Village Savings and Lending
Joseph holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a Diploma in Training Management and Personnel Management from the Institute of Personnel Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ). Joseph joined ASAP Africa as a field officer in 2002. In May 2005 Joseph was promoted to Village Savings & Lending Project Manager. In Sept. 2007 he was promoted once again to oversee and coordinate all rural project activities. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Sports with Zimbabwe Open University. He is married with two children named Praise and Peace.
Collins Mutsvairo
Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, Bridge the Gap Project
Collins holds a Bachelor of Science General degree in Mathematics and Chemistry as well as a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Zimbabwe. He taught Mathematics at Zimbabwe Junior Certificate (ZJC), ‘0’ and ‘A’ levels for 5 years after completing his degree program. Collins joined ASAP Africa in January 2004 as Bridge the Gap Program Coordinator. In April 2005, he was promoted to the position of BTG Project Manager. In September 2007 he was promoted again to oversee the integrity of data collection, analysis and reporting for all ASAP projects as well as for
implementation of BTG project activities in the project areas (Nyanga and Chibuwe). He is married with two children, Ngonidzashe and Keith.

Alfred Jagada
Kufusa Mari Senior Field Officer
Alfred was born on 6 September 1977 in Buhera District, Zimbabwe. He holds a Diploma in Agriculture from Chibero College of Agriculture (an associate college of the University of Zimbabwe). He also holds the Diploma in Training Management from the Institute of Personnel Management-Zimbabwe (IPMZ). Alfred taught Agriculture up to “O” Level between 2002 and 2003. He joined ASAP Africa as a Field Officer (Rural Micro-Finance) in 2004. In April 2006, Alfred was promoted to Senior Field Officer and supervises three Field Officers in Nyanga East.

Causemore Samanga
Kufusa Mari Senior Field Officer
Causemore did bookkeeping and management courses at the Highlands National Training Centre, Harare and the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Administration respectively. He previously worked as a Research Assistant as well as an Accounts Clerk. Causemore joined ASAP Africa as Field Officer in the year 2002. He was elevated to Senior Field Officer in 2004 and supervises two other Field Officers.

Kenneth Bariri
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Kenneth holds a National Diploma in Accountancy. He has worked as loans officer at Pundutso Micro Finance, an arm of World Vision as well as an assistant accountant with Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture in Zimbabwe. Kenneth joined ASAP Africa on 1st May 2006 and is based at Ruwangwe Growth Point (Rural Settlement) where he works with communities in the Katerere area of Nyanga District.

Francis Zengeni
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Francis has just graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Marketing Management (Mutare Polytechnic). He has no full time previous work experience but has done some work-related attachment at three different firms in Mutare city. Francis is based at Nyautare area of Nyanga District and works with communities there.

Lovemore Manjoro
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Lovemore holds a National Certificate in Automobile electrics from Mutare Polytechnic. He joined ASAP Africa as a Rural Savings Club Field Officer in 2004. He is now working to expand the Kufusa Mari methodology to the city of Mutare through Kufusa Mari Urban. He is currently studying for a diploma in Project Planning and Management. Thanks to his automotive industry background, Lovemore occasionally assists other Field Officers in the event of the odd
breakdown. Lovemore is single.

Kudzayi Sagwidza
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Kudzayi was born in Mutare. He earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree from Masvingo State
University. After graduation, he worked for a non-governmental organization called Shape Zimbabwe. He joined the ASAP team to help implement the expansion of the popular Kufusa Mari project. He is currently single.

Ian Munhungewarwa
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Ian was a teacher in secondary schools in Mutasa District for fourteen years before coming to work at ASAP. He taught secondary school science. Here at ASAP, Ian works with out of school adolescents in the Kufusa Mari program. He is married and has three sons.

Joseph was a primary school teacher at Imbeza Primary before joining ASAP in June of 2007. He will be working with out of school adolescents in the Kufusa Mari program. He is married with one child.

Lazarus Nyatsanza
Kufusa Mari Field Officer
Lazarus joined ASAP's team in 2007 to help expand the existing Kufusa Mari rural savings clubs into an urban environment. Prior to his work with ASAP, Lazarus served as a teacher at Rutsate Primary School. He is married with three children.

Diana Takundwa
Kufusa Mari Data Capture Clerk
Diana holds a Diploma in Business Studies. She is currently studying towards the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree with Zimbabwe Open University. Before joining ASAP Africa in November 2003, Diana worked as a bursary at Nyangani Secondary School. At ASAP, Diana works as a Data Capture Clerk based at the ASAP Africa field office in Nyanga. She is married and has one daughter named Wills.

Paul Mundete
Bridge the Gap Cluster Coordinator (Nyanga West)
Paul holds a Diploma in Education (teaching qualification) from the University of Zimbabwe. He taught at various Primary schools before joining ASAP Africa as Rural Savings Club Field Officer in 2004. Paul transferred to BTG within ASAP Africa in April 2005 and assumed the post of Cluster Coordinator. He is responsible for coordinating BTG activities in Nyanga West.

Daniel Fombe
Bridge the Gap Cluster Coordinator (Nyanga East)
Daniel holds a diploma in education (teaching qualification) from the University of Zimbabwe. He taught at primary school level since year 2002. In 2006 Daniel joined ASAP Africa as Cluster Coordinator. Currently, he is studying for the Bachelor of Science (Counseling) degree with the Zimbabwe Open University Studying. Daniel coordinates BTG activities in Nyanga East.

Kufusa Mari Junior Field Officer
Herbert taught grades six and seven at Nyatate Primary School before joining ASAP in 2007. He works with ASAP's new Kufusa Mari Junior project, which teaches students to save money for their school fees. Herbert is married and has three children.

Morris Matseketsa

Morris joined ASAP Africa in May 2006. Prior to his appointment, Morris had been with the Nyanga Rural District Council where he worked as Secretary. Morris holds the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Office Management. His strength lies in his advanced computer skills and the willingness to learn . He is single.

Memory Musabayana
Data Capture Clerk
After completing her ‘A’ Level, Memory successfully did the National Certificate course in secretarial studies. She worked as a temporary teacher between 1994 and 1997. Memory joined ASAP Africa as a Data Capture Clerk in 2004. Her work involves capturing test results from different schools, typing, filing and taking minutes of meetings as well as typing. Memory is currently studying Accounting with the South African Association of Accountants. She has one son named Innocent.

Beauty Kadzu
Bookkeeper
Beauty (29) holds the Pitman certificate in secretarial studies. As bookkeeper, her current duties involve writing checks, filing, preparing and balancing petty cash, recording invoices in the computer and preparing the payroll each month among other things. Currently, Beauty is studying towards an accounting diploma with the Southern Africa Association of Accountants (SAA). She has previously worked as an intern at Mutare Provincial Hospital (2002) where she was responsible for data capture. Beauty also had a brief teaching stint in 2003 and taught computers to primary school pupils. Beauty is single. |
Turai Mandiambira
Personal assistant to CD
Turai joined ASAP as the Personal Assistant to the
Country Director on 1st October, 2007. Born on 3 December 1979 in a
family of nine children, Turai holds an Honors degree in Information
Systems from the Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. Prior to
joining ASAP, Turai worked as a college lecturer at Mutare
Polytechnic in the IT department. He is currently studying for CCNA
(Cisco Certified Networking Associate) with Africa University. Turai
is married and the couple is expecting a child soon. |
Jolomia Mbendana
Assistant Accountant
Jolomia earned a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Mutare Polytechnic. Currently, he is studying for a diploma with the Institute for Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He has worked as an accountant for the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority, the Ministry of Education, and Pump Aid Zimbabwe. Jolomia is married and has one child.

Michael Nemaunga
Driver
Michael is forty years old. He is married with three children. After completing ‘O’ level, Michael joined the Ministry of Education and served as a temporary untrained teacher up to 1992. Michael then got employed as a driver at Solar Electrical Engineering in Mutare where served this company for six years and gained some knowledge of domestic wiring and maintenance. In 2003 Michael joined ASAP Africa as a driver up to the present moment. Michael also does some routine motorbike maintenance of the ASAP Africa motorbike fleet. |
Charles Tumbare
Driver
After completing his O levels, Charles worked as a driver for the Ministry of Education from 1981 to 2001. In 2001, Charles was transferred to the accounting department where he worked until 2007 when he joined the ASAP team. Charles is married to his wife Sheile. They have four children, the oldest of whom is currently in college.

David is 26 years old. He completed his ‘O’ levels in 1999. After school, he became employed at Hakuna Matata Lodge in Mutare as a housekeeper up to September 2003. In November 2003, David joined ASAP Africa as a general hand and office assistant. He was subsequently appointed stores clerk in April 2005. David also does some routine motorbike maintenance of the ASAP Africa motorbike fleet. He is single. |

Junior joined ASAP Africa as an Office Assistant in 2003. She has obtained an elementary certificate in computer studies and a secretarial certificate from Mutare Polytechnic College. She is currently studying for a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies. Junior also assists with receptionist duties when need arises. Junior is 27 years old, is married, and is a mother of one daughter. |
Farai Pegara
General Hand
Farai was born in 1969 in a family of 8. He could not complete ‘O’ level as his parents could not afford the school fees. As a result Farai started working as a gardener. He moved to join the ASAP Africa Mutare office in April 2005 as a general hand. He is married with one daughter and one son. |

Program Coordinator- Malawi
Jeanette Batiste is the Program Coordinator for
ASAP operations in Malawi. Jeanette graduated from University of New
Hampshire in 2002 and joined the US Peace Corps. She served as a
volunteer in Chikwawa, Malawi for two years from 2003-2005.
Following her assignment with the Peace Corps, she accepted a
position with the African Parks Foundation as Extension Coordinator
for Majete Wildlife Reserve. In this capacity she coordinated all
the community collaboration, education, and social support
activities of African Parks (Majete), Ltd. She completed her MSc in
Environment and Development Studies from the London School of
Economics in 2007. Following her Master’s she worked as an
Associate with a private equity firm before accepting a position
with ASAP.

Mary has been with ASAP since July 2007, keeping the day to day operation going at ASAP’s ‘On Safari Coffee Initiative’. Mary is an extra-ordinary people person - ensuring each client is satisfied with every detail; Mary ensures your individualized fund raising coffee is perfect for your group or organization, then roasts and packages that coffee especially for you. Mary spent 30 years at Delta Airlines as flight attendant and auditor before joining ASAP. Mary is married with one son, one daughter and two grandchildren.

Stephanie graduated from Vanderbilt University in May 2007, earning her degree in English and French. She will embark on her graduate studies in International Development at George Washington University in August, after spending six weeks in Zimbabwe working with the ASAP Africa team and helping to improve ASAP's public relations materials. |
