Rural Family Nutrition Initiative The Rural Family Nutrition Initiative in Zimbabwe project is one more resource for the Home Nutritional Garden Drip Irrigation Kits will be distributed to families in Zimbabwe to assist in the production of nearly 600kgs of vegetables per year. The kits will improve the effectiveness of gardening by producing more crops, but simultaneously using less water and labor. One of the most important factors in the success of this project is the use of our Cluster Facilitators. These women have been chosen by the community as leaders. They are committed to leading their communities into brighter futures by implementing effective programs. The implementation of RFNIZ is highly efficient due to the arduous training and community knowledge of the CF. The beneficiaries must meet certain needs and ability based criteria before being accepted into this program. The criterion ranges from households headed by an orphan or vulnerable child to adequate garden space (100 square meters of prepared garden space). The continual success of this program will be measured by the lasting effects of each Drip Irrigation Kit distributed.
